The Holiday season is upon us and one of my favorite things to do each year is decorating. With Thanksgiving coming up first, I love to first focus on the dining room. This poor space gets ignored most of the year so I’m always super pumped to dress it up a little.
Like a true suburban mom I always hit up Pinterest to get some fresh ideas and new decorating inspiration. (Follow me here!) Since we’ll be opening most of our time stuffing our faces and sitting around the table, I wanted to set up a really pretty dinner table that wasn’t too obnoxious. I always hate ones that are over done and you can’t see people’s faces from across the dinner table because some ginormous center piece is in the way!
So I started by layering some basics, table runners, placemats, and cloth napkins (they only make appearances for fancy dinners in my house!)
For my centerpieces I used some flower boxes I salvaged from my little sister’s wedding. I absolutely love how re-usable these little boxes are! Throw some artificial moss in them, vase fillers, or even fresh flowers! There’s literally endless possibilities for decorating with these little puppies throughout the year!
To make things even more extra, I found this super easy do-it-yourself napkin holder project here. I didn’t have the exact supplies but improvised and it turned out great!
Then I placed 2 fake eucalyptus garlands down the center and mixed in 2 candle handlers and voila! My gorgeous Thanksgiving table is all ready to go!!!
